Allegations of domestic violence or battery are taken very seriously. When law enforcement responds to a domestic violence call, at least one of the parties involved will be removed from the premises either by request or force by law enforcement. If signs that violence or battery has occurred, the alleged aggressor is often arrested simply based upon what law enforcement has interpreted as who it appears has been the victim.
Often times, the wrong person is arrested, as the other party was the aggressor, and the one arrested for a domestic violence crime was simply defending their self.
